Hi,
Well, been really busy this spring, but I have been plugging away with the X-Terra 70 when I get a little time now and then. I've pretty much just been using the 9" round 18.75 kHz coil and lately the 10" x 5" DD. The picture shows the goodies. Nothing to brag about. Just one 10K ring and lots of common jewelry and coins. Mostly schoolyard finds.
So far I'm finding the X-Terra 70 to suit me very well. It breaks no records for depth in the coin mode, but is light and I like the sounds. Good stuff sounds good, and trash sounds trashy. I like using it and for now that is good enough for me.
Where the machine shines is in Prospecting Mode, whcih I use a lot wherever digging is easy. That is what found most of the items in the picture. I'm headed off to my gold mine at Moore Creek www.moorecreek.com/ for several weeks on various mining projects. We have huge gold at Moore Creek, but also really nasty hot rocks. It will be a good place to put the X-Terra 70 to the test as a prospecting machine.
So I'll report back in a few weeks. I'm headed out Saturday, so this will be my last couple posts for some time. Happy hunting to all in the meantime!
