XT 705 Coils Waterproof?

I read a post that said that some coils for the Xterra are not waterproof. I went to minelab site and it had a statement that said to use 7 of the waterproof compatible coils. So, are they all waterproof and can be submerged a little for beach detecting?

Although the elliptical is not waterproof, it is considered water resistant. Many have ran a bead of silicon around the lip where the coil cover meets the coil, and around where the cable enters the coil, with good results. HH Randy
