When you perform a ground balance with any X-TERRA, the ground phase you set will apply to both All Metal mode and the discrimination Patterns.
The 305 replaced the earlier X-TERRA 30. When they came out with the 305, (in addition to an updated processor) they added manual Ground Balance and multiple tone mode.
