Seems to me that the xy screen, in the Hot and Deep programs in version 4, is not as stable as it seems to be in version 3.2. In 3.2 when I hit a coin the line was very solid. Now, in 4.0 when I hit a coin the oscillating effect is more prominent. Almost as if it were a bottle cap, not a coin. I don't feel very confident using the xy screen in 4.0 as I did in 3.2. Anyone else notice this?
 
I'm still playing around with the xy screen but I know the more zoom you use, the more the line becomes an oval on good targets.
 
The HOT and DEEP programs should be used as starting points for US hunting.

They have limitations and if you are in a trashy site, adding discrimination is a must unless you can stand the racket.

Make adjustments to the settings for your area and then save it in one of the open slots (11 thru 1:geek:

When using the XY screen, be careful about adding to much ZOOM as it does make it more "loopy" than it was on V3.2 which did not have the ZOOM function.
