Out for a hunt today in the woods, along a creek, which has had activity since the turn of the century. Nothing too old, but did get a 1955 silver dime and the back of a pocket watch. Shucks! The watch itself could not be found! <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry">

Also found a seal of some sort, a couple of old shotgun shells and a similar copper object which SteveP (NH) found last week. Could be the bottom of a cane or walking stick.

Here is that sneaky silver dime I pulled out of a schoolyard on the way home. At first it read as a nickel at 6 inches, however, after playing with the signal several times, I started getting spikes to the silver portion of the screen. Well, as past experiences, that usually means a good target. So I dug down carefully and low and behold, out popped a silver 1929 dime. The 1500 sometimes gives you a little more information then you realize. <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="
