Yesterday's adventure

CONDUCTOR7E

New member
Went out yesterday with my father to a new site,an old cellar hole from around 1750-1800 or so.My father was using an X-Terra 70. Found yet another complete shoebuckle in great condition,a couple of other buckles,a very interesting pewter button that read 12 R t with the t over a period. An odd looking eagle is sitting over the letters/#'s facing left.Never seen one like this before? I also found a Connecticut copper coin dated 178?.Dad found a dateless large cent and a colonial button.Great day for us!

Good for you guys !! Great finds, starting to get a little jealous most of my old cellar hole spots are now posted as watershed area, very depressing. Anyway congrats !! Ron

Way to go conductor7e!! Someday I will find things like that. Went out today with the safari on the fresh water beach and it was MUCH quieter. Didn't find a lot but it was easier today.

Nice finds. Great shoe buckle, still in tact. I've found ones like that, but never the whole piece, usually just the guts. Still waiting for my first, ma, ct, vt copper.
