Yesterday's Colorado Relic Hunt

I went out to a burned out 1860's camp yesterday to try and coax a few more relics out of the ground. the weather was beautiful, but I wish the digging was a little better. Relics are getting hard to come by at this site. I worked primarily in some iron infested areas and dug alot of questionalbe signals.
First pic is a few iron buckles.

Nexp picture is some Spencer and henry casings along with some fired lead.

Last picture is a couple o dropped colts and roundballs a couple 4 holers and one flat button. The flat button is a strange find for Northern Colorado, they just don't turn up that often here, in fact I think it's the first flat button I've ever found in Norther Colorado. The backmark is Orange Colour.

When I was stationed out at F.E. Warren AFB in the 80's, I used to bump around in Ft. Collins and Greeley. Never did find much though ( Being 19, the college girls kept me more occupied <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> )

Its nice to have some spots were you can always go and squeeze one more relic out of the ground.
