Most of these were in the 6" to 10" range except the Standing Liberty. It was only 2" and on top of a Buffalo nickel. Everyone else over the years probably thought it was surface clad junk. Im surprised I took the time to dig it. I hate diggin clad junk. It turned out to be a nice surprise. Thanks again Dale. I had a blast.

The coin on the top right is the buffalo. You can see the outline of the Standing Liberty on it

All SLQs that year were minted in Philly. It is not a key date but is by far the best looking one I have dug in 22 years

Thanks. It is a 25 plain in at least EF-40. My best looking one ever. Found it just down from the top gravel area where it starts sloping down towards the lake There is grass growing in about 2" of gravel there. I always thank Dale for the opportunity to detect there those 2 times but I really need to thank you too as he says you did the leg work to get the permission so thank you. It was a blast

Thanks and hang in there. One will show up. That was my 14th but only the 3rd one with a readable date. That is the real challenge, finding one with a date not worn off.

Im glad you found some nice coins there and you have
taught me a good lesson. DIG DIG DIG!!!!

I wouldnt give up on that site yet. Saturday I just wandered all around that place and picked 7 more silver so its still in there. Nothing like when you guys first started hunting there but its still there. You just gotta work harder for it now.
