Yesterdays finds,,No silver

Went out for about 5 hours. Dug more trash than what I care to dig but is what has to be done to find anything at this place. Worked my butt off. Didn't do real well this time but it was fun. Found about $2 in clad ,7 wheats and some trinkets that are kinda cool. No pics of wheats(nothing special)

Do you Think I should return this ID tag to the owner??

- - judging by the script on the tag, I might not worry about it. It suggests the owner gave up a long time ago, and besides - you don't have the item it was attached to. The tag itself wasn't intended to be found - it was used to identify the owner of that which it was attached to!

But hey it might be worth a try. At the very least, it might be interesting.
I found a dogs' ID tag, once, and called the number on it. I learned the dog was buried under the tree where I found the tag, as the dogs master once lived in the house where I was detecting!
