Got to check out a new spot for about 45 minutes before the storms chased me out <img src="/metal/html/frown.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":(">

The 2 fireds appear to be Burnsides, not too sure what the item on the bottom is, or if it is even period. Seems to be a little too wide for a suspender adjuster <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug"> . These were found in the vicinity of a Calvary training camp, among others <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

Before and just after the CW some suspenders were up to almost 2 inchs wide, many did not cross at the back.
How large is it?
Dean

It is roughly 1 1/2" long, almost 1/2" Wide, and made of brass. Still completing maps and research of the area, but it is looking like it may be period <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

Does look like part of the adjuster. Good hunting, David

Never found one that big before <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

There are literally thousands of suspender "clips" found around the country. Many are US made and many are foreign. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
