Well i hit that spot again & did very well to. started off with a bang first target was a 1943 sixpence with a d mint mark ( witch means it was minted in Denver in the US ) got1 penny & a half penny for the next half hour so i moved over a little & blammo out pops a 1927 sixpence :hot: the next target sounded like silver dug the plug & out comes another silver spoon :hot::please: after that i found six more silvers within 45min ranging from 1922-1949 it all slowed down for an hour then hit a patch of 5 Penny's & half Penny's the last hour & a bit was slow with only new coins & junk coming outta the ground.
so off home to look up the hallmarks on the spoon in my hallmark book it looks to be from 1821 WOW two silver spoons in two days just cant believe it i"v been waiting to find some antique silver wile detecting for over 10 years as i collect old silver i"v hit many spots that i thought i might find some but have not then outta the blue in a spot i thought i had no chance out pops two all i can say is i"m very very happy :).
so all up i found 8 silver coins 5 sixpence & 3 threepence 7 were 925% & 1 was 50% 1 1821 silver spoon 3 Penny's 4 half Penny's $10 cash & a pile of junk.

From the land ofthe Bluenose....silver in any form is a good find and you hit the full spectrum me bouy! Way to go and best ofthe season to youz!

thanks i cant wait to get back there & find more but i think today i"ll do a couple of jobs on my wife"s list so i might not get down there till tomorrow. i"v mapped this park out with all the finds marked on it & it"s interesting to note most of the really old silver is in a line that's about 30-40 meters long i"ll have to hit the rest of the line & see what i come up with :detecting:

John this area is huge & hunting with the sniper is slow going so i think i"ll be at it for a wile.

:clapping: Just kidding......WTG! That is incredible...you make us all proud (and jealous too)!

My 20 year old :canadaflag: boys came back from :ausflag: Australia a few weeks back. They were there for about three months travelling, meeting folks, spending money while stimulating your economy at the same time . They have nothing but praise about your country!

WOW, great hunt.

is it good ??? i don't get out to the movies often with 4 kids all under 10 it"s hard.

I have an autistic daughter and two 11 month old boys. I also have a mother that is nice enough to watch them for us so we can have a night out.

My wife loved it. I wasn't crazy about the story line. It makes the Aborigines look really great and wise. They do the same thing with the Indians here. They make them look so cool in the newer movies. One with nature and so wise. I have a friend that is an Indian medicine man. He has told me a lot of Indian history. Some of it is sad and some funny. The Mohegans were cannibals. Man is man the world over. Only culture makes us different. It dictates on how we perceive things and what we value.

Yeah i was thinking there might be some old gold there but with the amount of junk there it"ll be real hard to find i"v just been cherry picking the place i dig all high tones & leave the rest.
