Wife was visiting a friend and I am like a little kid I really don't go for visiting. She said come and get me in an hour and half. No beach near by, so I went to a tot lot a few minutes away. A 11" coil really not good in tot lot. I could get about 12" from the poles. It didn't like going under the little walk ways for the kids neither. I had the sensitivity down to 5 and still digging 5" plus on targets. I dug up 2 hot wheel cars and 6 pennies 3 dimes 1 nickel and 1 quarter. Nice thing about 11" coil it didn't take any time to get through the tot lot even at slow speed. Another nice thing is that it is a good place to learn the coin sounds. Disadvantage: It is like driving a 40' mobile home in the Indy 500.
No matter how hard I try not to get another detector I guess I will have to get a ace 250 or a F2 for those occasions that I am waiting for the wife to finish her shopping trips and I am not close to a beach but close to a few tot lots.
Thanks for reading.....Z

Yeah the smaller sniper coils are the best for play ground detecting. Howard
