Your opinion/experience with the 18" Excelerator coil?

I have a WOT 15" and just purchased a 12 x 15 SEF. I now have the opportunity to buy a used Excelerator 18" coil for around $120.. I just wondered if there is that much difference between the coils that I already have, and the 18" Excelerator. It seems that the makers of WOT don't think so, and have devoted some space on their website in discussing diminishing returns, and how larger coils may stress the power output of the detectors, etc.

There is so little information about this coil, and hardly any reviews from those who have actually purchased and who do use the coil.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dex

Since no one chose to comment on their experience with the 18" coil, I figure that it is not the most popular coil in the Minelab arsenal. The makers of the WOT seemed to think that 15' was about the largest size coil that is optimum for the Minelab, as they said that the larger the coil, the more power it drew, and that there was a point of diminishing return.

I just had wondered if anyone was using the 18" and what they felt about it in their personal experience.
