This unit was bought to address potential issues (shafts loosening up and possible water ingress at control mount) as well as have the larger elliptical 15x12" coil as standard for covering large areas quickly and deeply. It's fully up to date with the latest V3+ firmware and new 4kHz frequency.

Pros:

1. Very nice shape with Crystal Clear Display
2. Upgraded shaft lock with level lock for mid to lower shaft connection. Addresses stock shaft lock loosening up over time.
3. Upgraded "Quick Detach" Control Mount in Custom Brass - Very Solid and also has improved sealing membrane which is supposed to address any potential leakage. This hinges open and allows the control to be easily detached for transport.
4. 15x12" Coil!
5. Works impressively well

Cons:

1. No Warranty (see #2)
2. Wireless Button is spongy and will not turn on. I purchased the control with this in mind and believe it may be an easy fix as an insert to the rubber button seems dislodged.
3. No Wireless HP included
4. Minor scratches on coil and one small scratch on shaft

I can part this out and recover more money but perhaps someone will be looking for this particular combination. To get an 800 with the larger coil, it would typically involve paying the $800-900 for a unit and then buying the $230+ coil on top of that.

The only reason I'm considering selling is that I have an E-Trac now with the same size coil and while the Eqx is lighter I currently have more coil options with the FBS.

If nobody is interested, I may repair the wireless button since I have a long background in electronics. This is a sealed unit however the button itself can be accessed enough to be resealed with silicone. The repair will be clearly documented if I decide to sell after that point. As of now it is untouched and remains factory sealed.
