The 10" is weighty, pretty unwieldy unless you left it on the ground and slid it around.
Not like a heavy stone or lead weight of anything it just throws the balance off pretty good...use it and you know it's there.
I got one and used it a bit, not a ton deeper than the 8" but does firm up signals as you get to deeper levels.
I had limited use, preferred the sniper over all other coils, but it did find me a heavily rolled gold pocket watch so it paid for itself on that one which cost me $59 when I bought it aftermarket.

The sniper shined on the F2, it rarely came off mine when I saw what it could do.
Mine found me thousands of clad coins a year in parks, like 4-5000 per year, some silver and other older coins, a few relics and a huge amount of silver and gold jewelry.
At that time jewelry was my primary focus because that stuff is usually shallow.
Not super deep, in good soil 5" was easy, maybe 6", once in awhile 7" on a good day if the ground was moist but deadly at 3-5" where I found most of that jewelry.
In 2013 I found 3 gold targets by march with the F2 and sniper, in parks, so I set a goal to find 12 by december.
Crazy, never thought I could do it but I did.
In the pic below is that F2 gold from that year, 10 out of 12 2013 gold targets were found with the F2, the pocket watch with the 10" and the rest with the sniper.
There was one more I believe, an old screw on earring that I found on the same hunt as one of those gold rings and it came up clean and shiny, didn't have a test kit at the time but pretty sure I found 13 gold targets that year.
Also below is the silver I found that same year, except for one of two all were found with the F2 and the sniper.
In 2011-2012 I found a lot more gold and silver than what you see in those pics with the F2.
On Thanksgiving day in 2013 I got an F70 and I retired the F2, haven't used it since.
It did its job for the three years I used it and it did it shockingly well.
Paid for mine way over 10Xs the $200 it cost me with 2 coils, we had over 1000 hours of great fun and many fantastic adventures.

Why are you still researching this, I thought you already passed on that 3 coil F2 deal you mentioned became of the price, or I could be mistaken...that could have been an F4.
Old brain...can't trust it.

F2 review.. Final impressions below,

A log I had for years, many other F2 owners chimed in also.
328,000 views.....1,386 replies and posts.
Everything I learned about this thing as I learned it.
This thing sold a ton of extra F2's for Fisher over the years.
Go to reply #366 which is when I started using the sniper coil..

I just got an F5 a few weeks ago, very impressed!
Got it to find jewelry primarily, according to Mike Hillis and all the information in the F5 Bible it excels at this task.
Compadre level sensitivity with more power than the Compadre, F2 or F4...and lots of coil options.
Turns out it is a coin hog too, pretty much can do it all which was a nice surprise.
Not quite as powerful as my F70 but close, and way more stable in my crazy rough dirt.
Me and Fishers always got along great and I always enjoyed learning them to a very deep level to get the most out of them.
I expect this one won't be any different
