Want a new pin pointer

I have an older Garrett I bought about 6 or 7 years or more ago. I still use it, neber had a problem with it. I do take care of it. I'm thinking of getting another pin pointer, now there's others on the market now. I'm leaning towards the Garrett carrot. Pros and cons on the carrot and other brands. :detecting:

Propointer AT has adjustable settings. You can reduce sensitivity if warranted and you can silence (vibrate only) if warranted. My 2 cents.

I’ve been using my F-pulse since late 2018 and it gets used a lot. Once set up, (I use vibrate only sensitivity on medium) the thing is plenty deep and sensitive. I like the build compared to some others I’ve had.
I have a pulsedive coming and I suspect it will be a good unit as well.

LowaRelic, I was just reading about the pulse dive . Seems to have good reviews. it'a about the same price as the Garrett. I never use a pin pointer at the beach. I only use the on land. I wonder if anyother members have used the Pulse dive.

The pulsedive is an excellent pinpointer. It’s 30$ less than the Garrett, DEEEP if you want it to be, rugged, waterproof to 200 feet, and best of all you can get a search coil for it and transform it into a dive detector! Best on the market IMO. Also comes with a lanyard and the garrett does not!

I have the whites trx , the Garrett carrott that hooks up to the apex and the regular carrott and the Deus Mi-6. My favorites are the Garrett carrotts . Tough, well made , they don’t false if you use them as diggers lol

This thread demonstrates that there are many well made pinpointers out there! I use the Garrett Pro Pointer 2, just the simple black one. I have used it very heavily and what I like about it is that it is simple and quick. ONE quick push on. ONE quick push off. I also have the carrot. It falses quite a bit in a lot of my soil and just isn’t as fast to operate. It can DO more things but I only need my pinpointer to do one thing....do what it does QUICKLY.

I went with the Garrett AT, bought it from Bart at Big Boys Hobbies. Great service. I like it so far.

You do know that the Carrot can be ground balanced to eliminate the falsing in mineralized soil? And it is one push on, one push off....

I have a pro 35 that seems to have a hard time with dimes

I went with the Garrott carrot AT, love it so far.
