I just got this machine the At-max. I cannot get it to be quite it has chirping constantly can’t hear the sounds. I’ve tried ground balance? sensitivity still won’t be quite. Need help. Thanks,Tomcat 58.

Are you turning it on near a emi source? Does it chatter everywhere, house, front yard, nearby park? Lowering the sensitivity doesn't help? Have you tried a factory reset? Make sure the coil wire connection to the detector is nice and snug. Do you have a second coil to try? If you've tried all the above you may have a bad coil. Good luck! HH Jim tn

I took it to the beach this weekend still a lot of noise. It has constant noise the only time it doesn’t make noise is when it not near the ground. It’s new I’ve done the factory reset still no luck. Everything is tight ,cover is on the coil. Might send it back. Thanks

Mine is quiet until you find a target It snaps and cackle a little .. But I think is because of the Iron Disc only goes to 45

once in a while my AT Pro gets a powerful tone that won't allow detecting. I found out that if I just loosen the battery door, ao the batteries lose contact, then reclose it, the detector works fine. Could be a problem just for my machine, but easy fix
