Hi guys,
anybody know anything about the Fisher 551D.Got a chance to buy one in great working condition.....just thought it would be fun to use.
Cheers.

It's a 1st-gen VLF-disc, which means it's 4-filter and you have to swing it fast. I have a 555D.
Cheers Carl.......i'm looking forward to getting it this week......its looks like its hardly been used.Thought it would just be a bit of fun now and again swinging some older technology.Might start collecting a few vintage detectors, they just look much more interesting than a smart phone stuck on s carbon fibre pole lol.
Cheers,neil.

The Fisher 500 Series were VLF/TRS and were not motion units. I sold a lot of 555's. Fishers first motion unit was the 1260. Check with Dave Johnson at FRL.
