Becareful deer ticks to the max

I had one on my hip got it off and suddenly my ass crack started to itch. Thank God my wife is good with a tweezer. Not that funny though I have had limes disease and rocky mountain spotted fever. My wife says a still have a nice butt after 30 years of marriage. I do use permithern and deer but only works so well . Spring time is the worst for ticks.

Take care Bob

With Permithrin and Deet I suggest you spray your pants from the knees down and your arms from the elbows down. Those little goons usually dont get much higher off the ground in brushy conditions.

I’m the exception.
I laugh about it now, but I wasn’t laughing back several years ago…I had two of these pesky critters with their back packs on hiking towards the family jewels 😳😳😬😩😩 🤣🤣🤣

I just pulled a lone star from my beloved shittzu it was dead the tick stuff I put on here worked if only we could get something. This spring is the worst I have encountered. Maybe the warm spell not sure.

Jimmy, I wasnt clear so my bad. They do not get very high off the ground but once they transfer to a host they then crawl around at will.

Several years ago we had a bad outbreak of ticks around here. So many in fact they were bringing full size moose down (anemic) from the blood loss. I personally assisted a Fish and Game officer on a call where the cow moose collapsed in the back yard at a farm house. From 20-25’ away you could see hide and hair “moving” from the critters. The Officer told one moose not to far from this area had an estimated 50-60,000 ticks on it. The moose here was dispatched and dragged across a field where it was left for the predatory scavengers. He estimated the moose had two maybe three generations of ticks on it.
I learned from him that ticks get onto taller grass and low brush and when a host walks by they simply transfer and then start crawling around. Usually not any higher than knee height on a man.

When my bro & I went Berry or Nut picking and got back home, MOM would do tick searching & picking & washing off our bodies, we were around 7-11 years of age! We never got lost on the farm or in the woods, so we went by ourselves a lot as mom & dad were busy doing farm work but when teenagers we worked hard on the farm, also, Summer & Winter plus going to school--up at 5:00 A.M.& school bus came by at 7:00 A.M. Rough life most of the time!! Ma

I have had a different form of tick disease twice, it's called Ehrlichiosis. Different symptoms same treatment and no fun. My friend had over 400 seed ticks stuck on him on one outing. Most are in the grass, but they do drop out of trees as well. They are getting worse we never had them this bad as a kid or even 20 years ago. I read about a new invasive species from Asia that has found it's way over here, it doesn't sound good at all, no treatment yet. Had my first tick bite Sunday.

As far as I am concerned, ticks are more danger than snakes… at least in my area.
When going out in the woods to detect, I usually wear gaiters to prevent ticks from getting inside my pants.
I also use insect spray.
As Laplander stated, I think they can drop out of trees and get on you too.

So far i have found 8 on me in the last 2 weeks from being in the wood's here in the south.
I have been trying to clear up my trail for my 4 wheeler to get to the back part of the property.
Yes sir they seem bad this year. 😖
Ants are getting in Tami's house & we've had lots of rain; so maybe wet weather is the cause for so many insects or Socialists DEMS put that curse on America, too, do ya think?? Ma

I just saw a VIDEO of THAILAND with Thousands of worms because of Heavy Rains! I detest worms as much as I do snakes or anything CRAWLY, ICHY, ITCHY-STINGY --Ants, Spiders, Ticks, flies, bees, hornets, wasps & ETC>--BUGS are a nuisance but Pandora's Box loosened them onto earth 'tis said, so blame Satan & Pandora--All God's creations were for a purpose --feeding one critter & on down the line & then Satan changed their DIETS to tasting & liking human blood & flesh(My opinion told with humor)!! Jesus loves God's Human Creations & is GOOD to us but Satan hates "Jesus" & WE HUMAN BEINGS--He is the MISERY & all that is EVIL Maker! Satan curses the PPL & LANDS But God Blesses His PPL & LANDS BY our PRAYERS, LOVING, HONORING & PRAISING HIM & OBEYING His Holy Commandments!! May GOD BLESS us NOW & FOREVER! Amen! Ma

As Evil as they are, they could bring a plague down on America. If they could they surely would.

Only if God Jehovah allows Satan to have enough power to do it BUT God has GREATER POWER, so in JESUS" Precious & Holy Name, we can rebuke him & the Socialists & DEMS from being able to do it! Enough GODLY PPL have to ask Him in THE NAME OF JESUS to REJECT & BAN it from happening on earth & whatever is rebuked & banned on earth is also rebuked & banned in heaven; so when God hears our prayers in heaven, He will not allow Satan any power to do his evil of bringing a plague upon us or Earth--but if so, God would protect His OWN & NOT EVIL DOERS, who would be under the same plague that the EVIL ONES had asked to be done to us! For no weapon or warfare formed against us will be accomplished! (Will try & get Scriptures later!) My head hurts & my WATER PILL seems to be working! Ma
