Battery holder for a TRX pin-pointer

Flintstone

Well-known member
Would anyone have a AA battery holder for a TRX pin-pointer? I got one one from hear and it didn't have one. I see one on the big E spot, but don't like buying from there. Thanks Dean

Hi Picketwire, My address is ( Dean Stone 29 Hammond Ave. South Shore Kentucky, 41175 ) I will pay you for it , i like useing the 2AA better than the 9v.

That is great, PW.

And if someone needs a solution for this problem you can buy a 2xAA 3V battery holder with 9V connector. Many online electronic store will sell them, also amazon will. About the hardware stores I've no guess.
Hope this will help a little, too.

Thanks so much, if you need anything i have, just let me know and i will try and get it to you. Thanks Dean

Good old US mail, When i didn't get it Mon. i though for sure it would be here today but no. It will get here, i just think you for sending it. I have alot of AA rechargable batterys and can recharge them anytime. Thanks Dean

As a side comment though, I really like solid alkaline cells in my high end equipment. The TRX isn't really a high drain item since it isn't a PI, but for a pinpointer, a high drain battery is always my choice now. I hardly ever use rechargeable batteries in my gear, unless I am stuck in a bind.

Four alkaline batteries will not support all functions on my Pentax DSLR camera. I have to use rechargeable batteries in it. I haven't used alkaline in years. I use both 9v and AA rechargeable batteries. A couple of my 9v ones are over 10 years old and still hold a charge very well. My AAs that I bought when the low self discharge ones first came out are still working fine. Not one has ever leaked, unlike alkalines. They now have about the same capacity as alkaline ones and, as a bonus, the cost to recharge is almost nothing.

My Pentax p&s will kill name brand alkalines AAs after 2 or 3 pics. I went through 2 sets thinking they were bad but they just couldn't handle the high drain. Rechargeables will give me 100+

My postmaster says it is lost in Denver. I am doing everything I can to get it delivered.
It could be easier to simply use a solid high drain 9V alkaline battery. I still own all of my TRX gear. The 9V battery is always solid. Sometimes you just give up and move on. Besides, rechargeable batteries are never dependable, IMPO.

Seriously. The TRX is used off-and-on for pinpoints in the field. That's it. Don't stress out over the AA format. Life is too short.
