Dry Ground

Hi ya'll... I have a White's MX7, and noticed when the ground is really dry my signals are all over the place. I use the six shooter coil, because at the moment the only place I have to detect is at my house, which is eat up with iron. I'll get a hit, and it shows, penny/iron/dime/copper/iron...stuff like that. I do the wiggle, and circle the spot and eventually it will show iron, which is most things I find. I tried a couple different settings yesterday without any change. I only have the sensitivity at 4, because of so much iron trash, and run the coin /jewelry program.

Anyone have any tips that might help?

I don't know the machine. Same frequency as my MXT. Did a little reading. Runs a lot like the MXT as well it seems though with more options.
Sensitivity around 5. Say it falses much above that in hard ground. I'd try the beach mode. Knocks out most iron. Or gold prospecting mode. Will identify iron from non iron.
In that variable ground keep it in tracking ground mode.
Read the manual and watch more vids .
Here's a video in dry hot ground.
He runs the MX7 and the goldmaster 24k.
Maybe this will help.
Good Luck.
Love to know how things turn out.

Digressing a little but I’m always drawn to the Whites section to see what’s going on because of a what a great company they were .
Customer service was second to none!
I was intrigued when the MX 7 came out and called Whites to hear what they had to say about it.
I told whoever I talked to I had the V3i and they said I would not be getting a better machine than I already had.
Not dissing the MX7 at all and it looks like a cool machine! I wished I would have bought one!
My only point is who else does that?
But I guess they couldn’t live on great service and integrity alone!
Regret selling any Whites machine I ever had!
