My Legend's First Time Out

It was cold but I wanted to get a feel for my new machine. I only dug solid repeatable signals and came away with a small handful of coins and a house key that was at least 2" deeper than my Garrett pin pointer, I even gave up on a feel targets. This thing can go deep. Looking forward to learning the machine. For additional reading and tips is there an opinion as to which book is better, Andy Sabisch or Clive James Clynick?

I have both books. Clives book is more "hard core" legend andy's book is basically imho a glossy rehash of the user manual plus a few bits extra. A soft read. Both worth reading but clive's book i prefer.

which Version software are you running
and yes the Legend is Deep, if Nokta does not change anything when the 1.11 is released to us I believe it is going to be even deeper, I am currently running the 1.10 Beta test version on one of my Legends which will soon be released as version 1.11 and what I am seeing in the 1.10 test version the Legend is going to be even deeper, among other things, once the 1.11 comes out i do not see what else Nokta can do to make anymore improvements, there are a couple of bugs that I am hoping is addressed when the 1.11 gets released to us but we shall see.

I have read Clive's "book" and it's helpful but getting outdated as the updates continue. It has quite a few detecting insights that are worth the read. I did not know Sabitch had a book out on the Legend but after reading a couple of his other manual expositions I would not buy another.

I would wait to update until the Next version is finalized, the 1.10 is just a test version once all the testing data has been processed it will then be finalized by Nokta and released as version V1-11,1.11

again you can wait untill 1.11 is released to us and then update, which is my recommendation since the testing is finished, the only reason I installed the 1.10 is because I had two Legends so I installed the 1.10 Beta test version on one of my Legends so I could do some side by side test of 1.09 and 1.10 from what I am seeing this new version that is vary close to being released is going to be great, will everyone like it probably not because Nokta can not please everyone there will always be someone that has nothing but negative to say about the Legend and Nokta I am just not one of those, I love the Legend and Nokta's willingness to listen to their customers.

Can’t wait for new update.
Nothing wrong with the one now for me but what the heck can’t hurt, sounds like can only be better.
And as i keep saying and asking.
What else is better for the same money and what company cares more what the customer wants and actually listens.
Nobody been able to give an answer because there is none.
