My D2 Rod Assembly upgrade.

I just received my new carbon fiber shaft assembly today from Steve's Detector Rods. You talk about a fine piece of equipment with some excellent workmanship. I'm super impressed and very pleased with my investment. I look forward to getting it out in the field and not having to worry about my $1,600 detector falling over in the dirt and mud :) Big shout out to Steve for his excellent customer service and his craftsmanship. You can tell a lot of thought went into this beauty. I have an extra lower rod ordered my the 11x13 coil too .

Hey nice Dan! It’s so nice I don’t even want to use mine! But alas…I will tomorrow. If you do not know, the 13” coil comes WITH a lower rod which is ”carbon infused” to stiffen it up…but it will only fit the actual XP chassis obviously.

Hey Kevin, I hear ya, I can't believe how excited I was just looking at it lol.. I did a flex test on the 11x13 rod and it was better than I expected. I'll be swinging my new shaft tomorrow ;)
Fine looking piece. Notice any weight difference?
Haven't got to swing it yet, just got it yesterday. I'll be taking it out this weekend.

Question, the hand grip visually looks thicker/bigger than that of the stock from Dues. Is that the case, or is it just a visual trick created by my eyes?

Nice I just saw one of his shafts for sale here in the classified

I was on the list for the first batch from Steve's. Unbelievable quality!! Steve put a lot into this complete rod assembly. It's a work of art. Perfect in every way.

It could just be the light T-Dub. The handles are dimensionally the same but Steve’s doesn’t incorporate any rubber grip, it’s all smooth carbon. I don’t notice it because I wear gloves all the time but some who don’t might find it slightly “slippery”?…dunno. It’s a nice setup though.
