I am confused. Did you test both coins in the same position, the same height, the same location and get the different numbers?I should also mention, my 1883 I d'ed 31-32, but was slightly on edge at 5". HH jim tn
Counterfeit on the 28 gets my vote. A silver Washington quarter wouldn't read that low.Tested again with stock coil and coiltek 5x10 numbers about the same read one didget higher with the stock coil also tested with the T2 it read do i hav94 on the 1885 and 88 on the 1897. The 1885 wieghed 400.8 grains the 1897 340.1 grains Im confused to yes i kept the coins flat heres pics note 1885 read higher do i have a counter fit,,,,,CEDAR
Yep lots of counterfeit in morgan dollars.Counterfeit on the 28 gets my vote. A silver Washington quarter wouldn't read that low.
