that you think you should have... ie. Believe it or not I still haven't dug a seated anything !!! I know all about location, location. yada yada yada.. I've hunted many many areas that dated back to 1860's 1870's etc.. Barbers, 2 cent pieces, large cents, indians and so on have made it into my pouch.

I'm with you Mark, I've been hunting for nine years now and I've still never dug a seated coin.
Imt not giving up, each and every hunt I think today is going to be the day I get that seated coin.

As a relic hunter, there are still quite a few relics that have eluded me over the years......but I'll still keep searching when I can, as long as I can.

I relic hunt and have found many US buckles and boxplates, lots of Confederate and Yankee buttons, bullets. The one thing that has eluded me after 37 years, is a very common Yankee breastplate. My brother has dug a few I saw them come out the hole. Dang it!! I have dug a Confederate shoulder belt plate and a CS tongue though.

An American gold has been my White whale. Just filled one of mine with a CS button recently, man that was 51 yrs. in the finding!

I've been lucky enough to dig a couple 3 cent nickels but not the 3 cent silver. The 3 cent nickels that I dug VDI'd in the 10-14 range (about the same as a .22 brass) on the DFX and V3i. Best of luck and...
