Minelab Explorer 2 a few questions

I just got a mint condition Minelab Explorer 2 with 10.5" coil, have a 5x7 excelerator coil on its way. Just curious if any of you might have some good settings for coins and jewelry. Also I've never used a detector that has a graph, can you determine an idea of your target before you dig it using the graph or is using the numbers better/more accurate. I've only used it once so far, in my yard going over a few coins that I tossed on the ground, I've noticed that it has an extremely slow processor

They are a low and slow machine

You can toggle back and forth from the graph and numbers screens to double check targets. Testing like you’re doing is smart. Read the sticky by MikeO above, it’s very helpful. More advice can be found in the book by Andy Sabich on Explorers. Tones are great for silver, they sound like a high pitch warble. You make those changes in the advanced settings
