Surface Gold on dredged beach

Mark kus

Well-known member
Well, we’ve had pretty good tides and a strong west southwest wind, which has been causing a lot of erosion on this dredged beach. I knew it wouldn’t be long before I found some gold or silver..
So far one mercury dime and some clad today as I was walking along the edge of the cut something caught my eye sure enough a gold wedding band was sitting right on top of the sand close to the cut. I also got one silver ring.
What’s amazing is there were footprints going right by it no one even cared to look down to see what’s on the ground! I’m lucky I found it before someone else!
Hopefully more to come going back today at low tide hitting my local beach this am

Nice chunk of gold !!!! Most people walking look straight ahead. Only us detector types walk looking at the ground !! We all have a keen eye for anything that
sparkles. I once was walking north into a Nor'easter. Head downall the way. The I was blessed with a gold ring just laying on the top of the sand. Just never know what
Mother Nature throws in front of you. You sure do have some great hunting locations. Nice and old !!!! I have a friend who lives in Mass. He's done very well over the years, too !!!

Looking forward to more of your great finds.
