att. orx users

would like to hear from orx user concerning the pinpoint button. On my orx it takes about three seconds, when I click it for it to start pinpointing. and the pinpoint sig. is to strong for me. I hunt for jewelry etc. in parks an sports fields. I know you can detune it But by the time you wait on it to come on, an then detune it a lot of time wasted. I know how to pinpoint by dragging the coil, but if they put a pinpoint button in a machine it should work right. I have two friends who use deus 1s. the pinpoint signal comes on as soon as you push the button an the signal is good. Or there any updates that can fix that, or is that just the nature of the beast? would like any feedback.

The pinpoint on your orx is correct, it takes a few seconds of holding in B4 it works. I don't have a orx now but I've had several and I definitely remember that being the case with all of them..the d1 which I do have now is automatically in pinpoint as soon as you hit it, but there's nothing wrong with your orx,that's just how they are

Thanks Woodbutcher: I figured that was the case. In my opinion, not only the delay, but the pinpoint signal is to strong. I like the detector in general, but hate the pinpoint feature. Do you know anything about deep tect vistas beep an dig detectors?

I don't know much about them, I had the vista x once ,took it out a few times. It was ok , but I much preferred a lighter beep n dig like the vaquero, one 9 volt vs I think 8 as in the X..it was kinda heavy and not much over the vaquero but a tone break.. for beep n dig I think the vaquero is top shelf
