vista detectors

does all the vista detectors have limited disc? I'm interested in the smart plus. I see that you cant disc. out foil, only iron. so I guess this means you have to dig everything but iron. Ive never used a detector with this kind of disc. before. does any of the other models have more of a standard disc?

Vista X has a more standard disc i believe but i don't think it has the full range. Most of the others don't go far above foil to my knowledge.

I know little about the Smart. But, there are videos on Youtube that will have details on its discrimination ability. I really like all three of my Deeptechs, but I detect where there is iron trash, but few pulltabs, and little foil.

I just checked my Vista X. It will disc out a quarter! I started with a zinc cent, then moved to a copper one and finally a quarter. It disced them all out. I admit I never knew that because I never tried it before.

Yup...it has a wider range than the Warrior or Gold Gain, for sure. Though the way the Warrior works suited my detecting just fine. I do like the "alternate" discrimination feature of the X, though. The biggest reason I bought an X is the adjustable iron volume in the two-tone mode. The iron volume in the warrior is "fixed" at the same level as the good targets.
