Put my detector in the car, picked up some groceries and stopped at a spot with the possibility of getting some more coins. I got $3.55, which brings me over $10.00 so far this year towards purchasing another nugget. Just like prospecting...I get paid to work out.

Have you had the nugget X-ray scanned.
Years ago I had purchased one.
Before scanners.
Sold it.
They called me back weeks later.
Told me I owed them money.
It had a heavy gold coating.
Roughly half lead
I bought more silver off them and evened up.
I believe even scanners today couldn't have detected that one as it had about an 1/8 th inch layer of gold over lead.
Over an 11 gram nugget.
Only thru a melt and assay did they discover it.
Curious what you find.

Well....you dropped the penny. Maybe one and two dollar coins could be next. They found that the coins lasted much longer then dollar bills and it was much cheaper in the long run. We are hoping for a $5.00 coin one of these days.
If they quit making the small bills, I bet people would start to carry them.Funny thing is that I wouldn't carry them if we did. Just wish everyone else would.
