Silver Sarbe 2

Coil won't make a difference but bigger is better for beach hunting. The Silver Sabre is a older single VLF detector running at 12khz, so dry sand only as RichW stated. Machine will get very chatty in salt water wet sand and don't even try in salt water. But, still a good solid machine for dry sand hunting. Just make sure to take some extra 9v batteries.

Have a Silver sabre 2 was wondering would buying a different new coil help for searching on the beach, don't know a big alot about what's best anyone got advice thanks.
Peter
Hi Peter. There is no need for a different coil I think. If you have the stock 8" donut you're good to go.
Set the threshold in allmetal to a low, but noticeable level, and then switch to disc.
I'd keep the disc to it's lowest setting where small iron is rejected.
Good Luck & Have Fun 😎👍🍀🤞
