    Found rockhounding my landscape

    Seems like an odd little find. I cleaned it up a bit do I could get a better idea of what it really looked like. The pointed part of the item had very little rust, almost looked like a different material than the square side which was very heavily oxidized. Thank you in advance for taking a look.

    Cast Iron bullet?

    Found while metal detecting a turnout off the freeway. I think it cast iron because of the pitting. If it is a bullet it don't seem spent because the shape is still uniform.

    Now if I can only find out what I got here. Found metal detecting. Some sort of textured surface, and on one side I think I can make out a "3", or could be an "M". It will stick to a magnet, but it's not magnetic.

    Pitting in such a mannor as this is a tale tale sign of wrought iron. Others who have had it in hand have confirmed.
