    Fisher CZ's still the King

I still remember hunt the golf course converted to city park the guy with the CZ killed it on old silver and found some gold chains also all deep he was very experienced with his CZ. - he would let me swing my sovereign GT over some of his hits - sometimes I could pick something up but sometimes...

    Fisher CZ's still the King

I started when old stuff was the new stuff - my Dream Detector was the Whites MXT I had started with a Whites Detector so I had a fondness for the company and in Colorado the MXT seemed the cat’s meow. I eventually owned one loved the analog aspect of setting her up and tuning her for the hunt...

    Fisher CZ's still the King

Every detector has a learning curve. Plus just the basics of detecting where I last detected no matter how many machines and how much experience bad to good was about 10:1. I think that gets a lot of people out of the hobby. To find Treasure you must find trash. I have never found a ring or...

Used Deus 1 vs Minelab Xterra Pro for Beach detecting

Thanks - that answers my question - I think I will start with the Xterra Pro using beach mode. That saves me $250 because the Deus 1 was $500. And all reports are the Xterra is good - not best but good in and out of saltwater.

Used Deus 1 vs Minelab Xterra Pro for Beach detecting

I have been out of Detecting since 2015 accident that took out my right knee. I am now living in area surrounded by beaches been thinking about getting an Xterra Pro ( low cost and seems to do well on beach and lite). But a Deus 1 has come on market at a pretty low price. Just wondering is the...

    Fisher CZ's still the King

I hunted a golf course converted to park with a guy swinging a CZ5 he pulled silver left and right out of that park/golf course - my Sov GT was not nearly as effective!

Tried my Minelab Pro Find 40 Pinpointer first time today , it get's thumbs up from me.

My first pin-pointer was a Garrett and my second was a Sunray on a Whites XLT. The Garrett was good but some times was not directional enough and did not provide any info on target type the Sunray was very directional and did tell something about what I was looking for. When in the final step...

    X-TERRA PRO WIRELESS HEADPHONES

Not sure screw is correct word profiting yes. But Xterra Pro detector works without wireless - I am really thinking about buying one - eventually I will want wireless headphones and Minelab will profit from me when I do also.

I may have just cracked rhe "mystery" of the Xterra Pro on the beach....

Yes let’s run the equinox in beach mode and then Xterra in Beach and monitor the transmitted frequencies on a scope - this will be a big tell.

I may have just cracked rhe "mystery" of the Xterra Pro on the beach....

That’s very interesting - sure looks like Xterra Pro had much more in common with FBS machines then Minelab wants to admit - makes sense why invent a new wheel when you already have a pretty good one.

Are the Equinox coils that work with Xterra Pro better then stock coil - do they help stabilize the VDI?

I hear headsets maybe necessary with new machines to hear the nuances in the Audio.

Xterra Pro Beach Mode - is Minelab hiding its Dual Frequency?

I appreciate your insight- money is not everything I think machines from quality manufacturers is more important then cost when I started Whites, Garret, Minelab, Fisher, and Technetics were the go to companies and I don’t remember any bad machine from any of them. Someone told me a few things...

Xterra Pro Beach Mode - is Minelab hiding its Dual Frequency?

I agree there is more to the magic than Minelab is saying.

Are the Equinox coils that work with Xterra Pro better then stock coil - do they help stabilize the VDI?

Yes - been a while. I remember going to Sovereign GT after every machine I had before had VDI. It did not take long to learn to discriminate via sound. I really believe it was better - one of the most successful hunters I knew was sound only CZ3D. So maybe worry too much about VDI
