    Moving on

Its been fun, but I'm going to find an MD forum where there isn't such an unhealthy relationship with sponsors. I don't want to stay somewhere where your posts get deleted for mentioning a non-sponsor brand name of headphones. This is what happened to me on the AT Pro forum, and I'm not cool...

    Guess I'm out then

Its been fun, but I'm going to find an MD forum where there isn't such an unhealthy relationship with sponsors. I don't want to stay somewhere where your posts get deleted for mentioning a non-sponsor brand name of headphones. I wasn't trying to sell anything, I was simply sharing a tip for...

    An unexpected load of bull

Finds from yesterday's hunt in a local park. $2.92 in clad and a bull ornament thing. It's a really weird thing to find in a city park. Dug it from nearly 8 inches deep, under a tree right next to the edge of the parking lot asphalt after hitting a solid VDI of 90. I was hoping for silver but it...

To scuff or not to scuff?

Being used to Tesoros, I was a little surprised that the AT Pro did not come with a scuff cover for the stock coil. I think the scuff cover is about $15-$20. I'm not convinced I need one. Do you use a scuff on your AT Pro?

    AT Pro/Gold newbie tips

Thought I might suggest and begin this, as I think it would be really helpful to start compiling a list of tips and tricks for new users of the AT Pro and AT Gold. We could also link to other posts to help new users read the best tips without having to search. Perhaps it would be useful as a...

    Schoolyard hunting

So... schools. It seems like having a stranger wandering a school would be a touchy subject in most communities, even outside of school hours. For those of you that hunt schools: Did you ask the superintendent for permission, or do you just hunt at the weekends without any problems?

    Missouri roadside parks

I am trying to figure out what division of state government is responsible for the roadside parks in Missouri. I don't think it's DNR. Maybe MoDOT? I wanted to look up ordinances and make sure it's okay to hunt them. Does anyone know what the laws are on the state-owned roadside parks in Missouri?

Going to pick up a new AT Pro this afternoon

I love my Cibola, but my wife needs something more powerful than her BH. She likes the Cibola so I said I would surrender it for an upgrade. :) I really enjoyed splashing around in the shallows with the Cibbie, but always worried about the control box getting wet. After going back and forth on a...

    My next Tesoro

Yesterday my wife and I went to the lake. She hit the beach and I took my Cibola into the shallows. This is the first time I've hunted in the water and I have to say I am hooked - love the cool water and the easy digging. I pulled a handful of clad, a zirconia earring and a weird black gemstone...

    Learning the language of Cibola

I've had my Cibola for a couple of months now. It's my first Tesoro and I truly love it. I feel like I am starting to learn its language: the way the audio chops or rings like a bell depending on the target. However, I still find myself occasionally wavering on the "dig/don't dig" moments...

Good deeds rewarded at the saddle club

I recently got permission to hunt at my local saddle club. Decided to divide my time equally between pulling out dangerous-to-hooves trash from the arena and hunting the bleachers. I had four hours to hunt, so the first two were spent in the soft dirt of the arena with the Cibola on AM. Found...
