    Ctx is a water monster

Took the Ctx out to a few local lakes and a river found 4 real nice rings. Went to another hunted out area and found 1915 barber and a Franklin, I like this machine more every day.

Where are all the CTX users?

There would need to be a whopper of a machine to replace the Ctx, we have highly mineralized ground and this machine cuts right thru and gets the goodies. I hunt in places with emi and still get great depth.

Frequencies is use at any one time

Thanks for the info, I kinda figured they used some sort of shift, that is the same thing the V3I did but you had control over how much and which direction to reduce emi.

Frequencies is use at any one time

I have searched high and low for an answer to this question, maybe I’m not digesting the information right. Once a noise cancel is done, how many frequencies is the machine operating with? I know it will eliminate one or so because of noise but it would be nice to know which ones (in auto) so...

    Tek Point Pinpointer noise

Ctx does not like the pulse, next question is with all the squirrelly will it affect the settings?

    Tek Point Pinpointer noise

changed up the frequency on the pin pointer found a quieter one would have been easier to know what frequencies the pinpointer works on, when in doubt check the fcc list. On it

    Tek Point Pinpointer noise

I got myself a Tek Point pin pointer for Xmas , I normally use the trx. Man that sucker is noisy, started messing with the frequency to quiet the Ctx down but still noisy. I love the trx never had this problem. The Tek Point is a pretty nice unit, solid for sure and every bit as deep as the trx...

with regrets, I sold my CTX3030 after 11 months.

I swing righty for awhile the lefty for awhile and take breaks every now and again. Never is the weight of the Ctx a problem, balance is very nice and I’m an oldish dude. 😄

    Under water detecting question

Did my first underwater detecting yesterday only a 3ft deep swimming area, question do i need to noise cancel when in the water? I noticed that my swing speed is very slow and the signals are boomers, it was very enjoyable though not productive. cheers

    Multi target hole madness

Huge cast pipe with coin right next to it . It was a high tone then overload. I was digging in dirt piles from a sidewalk tear out. let the trx sniff it out.

    Headphone question

Does anyone know if I use the standard headphone jack for my headphones in the rain it won’t wreck the machine.

    Multi target hole madness

I think this pic says it all, i dug the nail first then the trx sniffed out the silver, I placed the nail back just as I found it. I got the high signal from one direction only. Low and slow. 😄

    Multi target hole madness

The other day I was a little bored and went to a “hunted out park” they had been watering in an area that typically stays somewhat dry most of the year. I was resetting the noise cancel fairly regularly when I got a nickel signal fairly deep and sketchy, swinging from a different direction it...
