15 rings/ Found smashed lockbox today!

I believe that I may have solved the mystery of the 15 rings I found yesterday. I went back out today and continued searching downhill and found this smashed, coin operated lockbox. Now to start checking with local authorities to see if anyone has reported it stolen.

Found 15 rings with my Tigershark yesterday!

I finally got out to detect yesterday. What a day! I know that there are going to be disbelievers, but this is the absolute truth! I found all 15 of these rings in only 20 minutes of searching! They were in a wooded area, in a 20' x 20' space. A very steep grade off a stone fence. I took them to...

    10 brass shotshells 1867 - 1970

These are 10 shotgun brass that I have found while water detecting this past month. They were all in the same area that I have been finding rings, etc. I think they are pretty cool because the one in the upper left of the photo dates from 1867. There are also 2 from 1884 and one from 1897. Great...

Another ring and a fishing lure for the Tiger shark!

This is ring number 6 from the same 50 yard by 50 yard area of the lake that I am detecting! Neither the "diamonds" or the band are real. What I think is cool about it is that I keep combing the same small area and coming up with new finds each time I go out. The spinner bait has the date of...

Tiger Shark finds ring number 5!

I was out today on a local lake when I found this beauty in about 2 feet of water, under 4 inches of sand. It is very heavy, I do not have a scale, so I will not try to guess the weight. It has 6 diamonds?, to be determined by the jeweler tomorrow. It reads, "Tungsten dt 45" on the inside of the...

    Tiger shark finds a pistol!

I found this partial pistol in about one foot of water last weekend. I found out that it is an extremely rare water pistol. It was manufactured in 1896. It is a Parker-Sterns, USA Liquid Pistol, or as we now call them, a squirt gun. Not worth anything in this condition, but still a neat find!

Tiger Shark comes through with another ring!

I went out late Friday afternoon to one of my local lakes and found this beauty in about 3 feet of water. I had to scoop about 6 inches of sand before I could get to her. The large stone is surrounded by 8 smaller stones, but 4 of them were missing. The band is not stamped so I have my doubts...

Wow! Tiger Shark strikes a Ruby!

I was out detecting in a local lake in about 4 1/2 feet of water and scored my first ring with hopefully some value to it. The silver band reads .925 9 NV which I found out means that it is .925 silver and the 9 NV means "Nevada silver made in England". The silver has turned to black. Not sure...

My first Gold with my new Tesoro Tiger Shark!

I have hunted with a Bounty Hunter for the last 3 years and have found many nice items including an 1863 civil war token and a button from a Revolutionary War soldiers uniform. But I never found gold! This was my second time out with my new Tiger Shark. I went to a local park and was hunting the...

    Tesoro Tiger Shark

Just purchased a new detector and should be here on Thursday. This is my second detector. My first was a Bounty hunter, 4 years ago. Any helpful hints about this detector? I am planning on using it in my area lakes. Will this machine perform better on dry land than what my bounty hunter did? Jody

1863 civil war token in wisconsin!

I never thought that I would find one in Wisconsin! I went to a rummage sale yesterday and struck up a conversation with the homeowner about his hot wheels collection that he was selling. After he took me on a tour of his basement where his more valuable cars were kept, he asked me if I...

    Searching excavators dirt

Has anyone ever had the opportunity to check out an area where an excavation company dumps the dirt and rock from areas that they excavated around sidewalks, etc.? If you have, did you have any luck? I am trying to secure permission to do so at a local company. Thanks

    Hunting County Fairgrounds later today

Unbelievable the stuff I had to go through to get to hunt. My request had to go to a "closed door" County meeting. Then I had to sign a waiver and submit proof that I carried at least $500,000 in liability insurance. It kind of makes me feel good that I had to go through all of this. It makes me...
