Question.... regarding coils for the 6000

Thanks in advance. Will an 8" coil from a 6000 di 3 work on the Pro XL? I have a series 3 that is coming back from repair with an 8" coil and I just picked up a new 6000 pro xl. I would like to be able to use the smaller coil if it will work. John
