    WOW :yikes:

I was hunting an old farm property from the 1800's that has now been developed but still has some old trees on it. I got a signal 12/45 at the base of one of these trees so I started digging thinking I had a silver dime. I dug down about 4 inches and hit a big flat rock, and the 12/45 was coming...

Old Tree gives up Old Coin:thumbup:

I found this Old Coin at the base of what's left of this very Old Tree in a park. The town dates back to the early 1700's. The coin is corroded but I was lucky that the date is still there. I think you can make it out in the picture. It turned out to be a 1798 Draped Bust. Corroded yes, but it...

    Early 1800's Church finds

I got permission to hunt an old church originally founded in the mid 1840's . Unfortunately the Indian head pennies are badly corroded, but the silver is OK. Still got to clean them up a little. Any suggestions on cleaning old Copper Pennies? 9 Indians - From what I can make out the earliest...

    A first for me.

I got permission to hunt this Old Church Dated 1845. I wasn't expecting this when I dug down 10". The sound was erratic and the numbers were all over, and I almost passed it by. But it showed deep! And if it's deep, the rule is dig it. What a beauty!! and in great shape too.
