Help in finding Minelab metal detector

The Nox 800 is going bye bye this year so stay away from it. The X-Terra series are great detectors and have bought the XTP used for $200 to just have another for the Coiltek 5x10 coil. The Elite is just a X-Terra/Vanquish hybrid in my opinion.

    Pro v Elite.

I have no problem hitting 3 ringers or coat buttons at 12 inches with the X-Terra Pro. Still not found any at 15 inches like the old X-Terra 70 with the 10.5 DD 18.75 though!

    Pro v Elite.

Not on the beach but in good ground they are the same with the 12 inch coil. I sold the Elite and have 2 Pros one I keep the stock coil and one the Coiltek 5x10 on. In the past on the classic X-Terra I found that the Coiltek 15 was only good for more coverage no depth advantage.

    Vista X coil comparisons

As far as depth, the octagonal VS the super 6 or 8" round. I just can't get use to the octagonal just seems weird to me to use.

So I bought a Second Detector....

I have the same, but I use the 5x10 Coiltek on the Elite. I have done side by side tests of the two on signals in the pastures in CW campsites and found both to be about the same signal and depth wise. The Elite seems to be a little unstable to me yet in multi mode with the 15kHz mode the same...

    Lighter alternative for V12X Coil

When I got my Elite, I put a Coiltek Nox 5x10 on it and I found that it has the same performance as the 12" stock coil. Depth wise I see that it is the same as the Pro with the 12". So, I have left the 5x10 on the Elite. I have noticed that if need be, I can crank up the sensitivity on the...
