    Glad that coil is the ticket for you. With the 700 that I had I never mounted the 11 inch coil and did well with the 5X10. A joy to use.

    I use M1 park with all metal mode. Recently found a 10k 22 gram necklace that rang as 11.

    Anyone do any water hunting with the Legend?

    I'll ditto pulltaboo's reply, using the Notka's waterproof headphones. Found a 22.9 gram men's 10k gold necklace in fresh water lake a couple of weeks ago. Read 11 and would have missed it if not in all metal or ground mode. Works fine and I use the 6inch coil mostly. I do pull it up to glance...

    Hate to ask what could be a dumb question, but here it goes...

    I don't think you do but just to be safe I would. I'm a old Tiger Shark user and I used plenty of the silicone on that detector when I hunted fresh water lakes. I also used the 600 for one season and applied it to the headphone jack as well. Happy hunting Pal!

    What version are you running

    I updated to revision 109 and was sorry that I did. The legend was noisy and wasn't very stable. I don't know what happened but I updated it again to 109 and it works great now.

    Tell me your thoughts on the Legend 6" coil...

    I really like the 6 inch coil. I'm use to the 5 inch coil on the F75. Found a 1894 Barbar quarter and a 1942 Merc recently using the Legend small coil. Found in a area that the Equinox and DFX had been used quite a lot in that area. Quarter was only 6 inches.
