    I own from new a whites 6000 di pro.Resister R96 is smoking.I think it's 33 ohms.Any help as to what could cause this.Unit isn't working.

    The 6000 Di Pro was my first brand new in the box detector I bought shorty after it became available. All I had was a few used beat-up detectors prior. BFO, T/R kind of stuff. The 6000 was like years ahead to me when I got it - really had a lot of good times with it.
