Deus II remote problem

I had ver 7 on my Deus II and did not like it much. I decided to down grade back to ver6. All went well and hunted with it last evening for a couple hours and it worked great. This morning, I went to put it on the charger, and no response to the charger, and the remote would not turn on. It is totally dead. My dealer had no idea why it did that, and recommended the remote be sent to the repair shop in Southborough, Ma. So I will be without my Deus II for a week or so. Good thing I have 12 other detectors, including a D1. to use. It is disappointing though.

That’s a headache we don’t need. I read on FB that others had the same thing happen.

Good mercy the more technology the more problems with this new detectors. We did know how good we had it back in the good old days when Fisher made the 1265 x and 1266 x and they would last for ever!!Fisher would make millions if they would make them again. It was a very simple machine and very deep for relic hunters and would hit gold, silver, and relics! At the present time if you find a decent one you are looking at $400---$ 600!! They needed very little maintenance :clapping: and to my surprise if I remember right they has a frequency of 4.3 or 4.8 .

Here is the repair facility I was given.

Problem update: the repair facility in MA. siad to contact XP by email and explain the problem to them. They seem to think XP can send me an upload to fix the problem, or som key strokes to fit the problem. Just emailed them so I am waiting for a reply. Email sent to: info@xpmetaldetectors.com

another update: XP sent me an email today and they said the remote has to be sent to the repair facility in Ma. due to it having to be opened to repair it. They have no downloads or key strokes that fix the problem. I am now waiting for Detector Electronics to send me the instruction for shipping the remote to them.
