What Analog detector would you consider to be the best EMI resistant?? I have some thoughts, but am interested in what everyone thinks. It doesn’t have to be a new model detector . Thanks in advance! 😃 HH Tony

If we are just talking 'analog' detectors, most of my favored Tesoro's have been very good, and quiet, working in some tough EMI challenged areas. Also, I had a couple of DeepTech Vista X units (and plan to recquire one) that were also very good in EMI areas.

It’s really a loaded question, although I’m sure unintentional. ”EMI” (and I know you guys know this) can run from 60 cycle hum to ignition systems to “electrically leaky” infrastructure of all kinds to solar flares…it’s apparently all over the place! I realize that not everybody for whatever reason(s) might not have multiple machines, so that limits them in the EMI arena. I’ve had the good fortune in my 12 years of hunting to have some of the best IMO for doing what I do…coin hunting in difficult trashy conditions. I’ve run the Explorer2, SEPro, CTX, EQX800, etrac…but the best machine I’ve had OVERALL for EMI mitigation in my area is the one I currently run…the D2. It has SO many options to not only noise cancel or use different modes for different sets of freqs, it’s very adjustable in Deus Mono as well, which gives it the widest range of adjustability out of EMI on the market as far as I know. It works SPECTACULARLY.

Hi Monte, I like to use vintage metal detectors, I have no current MOTION models, I prefer a volume control, sensitivity control, NO-MOTION, and beyond that, I search for faint whisper signals. I am not longer interested in searching for targets above the faint whisper signals. Everything I find, is usually vintage target, some are good, some bad, and some are relics. But none are trash from the upper levels of the ground. I search with an audio amplifier, find a target, switch into amplifer bypass, if faint, I dig it, if not, I switch back into audio amplification, and I move on looking for another target...

The detectors I used have no EMI problems...

I used to come in here, however my internet computer crashed, so lost my bookmarks and data in it, so starting over again with another computer. I believe you are familiar with my user name.
