A Hole in One (Wheat Penny)

Well-known member
This is my first wheat Penny that I find holed. It’s a 1928. Has anyone ever found one? I found this at a home built in 1913. I also found a 1916 and a 1937 wheatie. I found a pin of some sort. I can’t wait to get back out again.

Nice hunt! With a literal hole in one 😂

I've found a few "newer" holed US and foreign coins including wheats. I believe that people used them as necklace mementos for birth years and heritage.
I've always thought they're cool to find, congratulations on yours.

My guess is trinket style bracelet/necklace. My aunt had her kids birth-year coins holed along with her’s and the uncle’s and their wedding year. Also continued along with grandkids. She sounded like a tambourine when she walked.
Ive never found any but always a first to come along. The lock and clasp are interesting………Cool finds!!!
