1863 crossed cannon Indian head civil war token and some silver weekend finds.

I was out with my friend Dave on Friday at a field that was open space I had a good signal using my Manacor I believe it was around a 70 ID so I dug it and I saw an Indian head 1863. Wow that’s one of my older Indians I don’t find them that old too often, it’s when I flipped it over and I saw the back that I realized this is no Indian come to find out it’s a Civil War token. There are two varieties one that says liberty on the headband and one without liberty. Mine has the liberty. I also found the two silver dimes , a V nickel and a buffalo nickel along the riverbank at Low Tide with my D2 ..
I’ve included some PCGS photos of the token not sure how many we’re actually minted ..

That token is cool,when I started hunting 13 years ago I found one too.

Awesome civil war token!!
 
Thanks guys I will post the video when its ready of a lot of good finds coming up a sweet 2 center also Dave found more new open space spots.

Wow! That must have been like new when it was lost! Really cool find! It's also a good reminder of that era and all of its troubles.

Always lookin, that cluster of tokens must have been a really nice surprise in your first year of hunting.
Hope you've pounded that area in the years that followed.

Certainly did,a lot of great recoveries from colonial times.
 
Finds like these are what make our hobby so fascinating. Think of the history of those tokens, think of the lives of the soldiers that carried them with them into the battles they saw! How many times did the soldier take them from a pocket to view them and edge him on in the war?
