I found this coin at the outer banks n.c. It registered 89-92 on my manticore. Does anyone know what it is? The size is smaller than a half dollar but larger than a quarter. It weighs almost 10 grams. It was nearly 2 feet deep

Beautiful find, it would have bought tears and smiles to me if I found it; fake or real and I hope it is real... :clapping:

The cool factor comes into play here. If its real thats just icing on the cake. Great save and congrats. I once found a Continental Currency dollar dated 1776. It was designed by Ben Franklin. I knew it was a knock off but still tickled by the find. Good luck. Mark

go get it tested

Any signs of corrosion ????? Threal thing by now should probably be blacker than black. Ever see the Atocha silver coins all fused together when the wood chests disintegrated ??
Should be heavily encrusted.

If its real, Good on you !!! AWESOME find !!! Thrill of a lifetime. Hope its real.
