Old Lock & Few Silver Coins and Jewelry

I have been doing a lot of home improvement projects the last month, so I was only able to get out for some very close morning hunts.
All finds were found at North Dakota and Minnesota public city parks, schools and a fairground with my Deus II.

The old 3 levers lock read just like a half dollar, and I was happy to see it in the hole. I found listings for it as old as the civil war so I am sure it is 1800s.
A surprise find was that plastic 1950s-60s crackerjack lucky horseshoe prize. I was chasing a low tone and that happened to be in the hole.
The billiards token was about 9 inches deep. Billiards tokens do not come up often.

Good to see you are still getting time to get out and detect, we need more detecting days and less doing working around home. I dont seem to be either done.

Very nice finds Dave I was in the water this week at a private beach only way to hunt it was by boat which I love no one can say a word first target was a Gucci ring lol
Then another beach my river spot had a guy come down and try to tell me what I know already about hunting on the beach I have to laugh and just keep going in a month they will all be gone again.
 
Thanks Mark. Beaches are one area I haven't hunted much at all. Years ago on vacation I tried the treasure coast and daytona beach with my etrac.

I don't know which I like best.
The lock is sweet. Brass I assume.
Probably why it came up silver because of its size.
I love Mercs. Watch fob. Never found one.
The horse charm is sweet.
Find that with the detector ?
 
thanks. Yes, the lock is heavy brass.
The horseshoe is some sort of plastic.
It happened to be in the hole on a deep low tone I was chasing.

Nice finds there Dave!
I like the lock…..I found one similar in size and shape to it some years ago and mine is shown in a Sears And Robuck reproduction catalog from 1897 and 1902, so I think you are correct in the era it was made.
The silver cover you mentioned is a watch cover?
Looks to be about the right size for one.

I have a few of those old reprints.
Fun reading. I'm a book nut.
The things you could buy from that catalog were amazing.
I'd like to find the 1920's and 30's catalog's grandpa told me about.
They had Thompson machine guns and Maxim silencers.
