Thats a cool find!!Good news....that copper ring I found in the flour gold producing river with a metal detector a few weeks back was identified as a real ruby stone, perhaps worth a premium due to it's size and carat wt. It's estimated to be around 100+ years old. So out of the 25 rings I got this year, two have a decent value to them. The other was a gold ring, also found in the same river. Looks like I paid for the value of my new metal detector the Garrett Vortex.

I didn't get an actual $$$ appraisal, only that due to its weight, color and size it might be worth a hefty price.
