2nd is a soft wash
3rd is quick lemon juice wash

Nice Eagle I . Its Getting Harder to Dig Any Civil War Button with Gold Vs Ones Dug in Good Old Day. Mother Time Slowly even affect Button dug. I even notice more "Pitting/ Flacking Even Lead Bullets .

It truly becoming the norm to dig wasted artifacts. Here is one I dug off the same site this week, the face was fractured in the same hole, could just make out part of a wing on one piece. Right or wrong I started using Renaissance wax on the better ones,

Nice. Now oil it.
I spray it down with a good penetrating oil.
Put it in a baggie. Spray more in.
Let it soak for weeks.
I have a decent largy in a bag for years now.
No more oxidation.
I always carry baggies/separated of coins to any new site. Tune my detector on ground I'm hoping to find those items on.
