Think I may have found something for Ted and have them coming on Monday as I found the alkaline packs that come with the 9 volt hookup, just got to find the adapter to connect to the detector. also I found a 10 cell rechargeable 12 volt pack, which I was looking for and if it works out I am going to pickup a couple of sets for spare for the Sovereign original, the XS or the XS2.

I am not good at posting link so I did what I could as I took a copy of my invoice from Amazon that I was able to get, I hope it will help
I got goofed up on the batteries I got at amazon, the alkaline pack are 2 8 pack AA batteries with the connectors , wasn't thinking clearly. I was making the alkaline packs tonight and being you use 2 pack it had to be hooked up series as each pack has 4 AA batteries which makes 6 volt per pack. I went to build it and realized 1 got the 8 packs so now hooked up with 2 packs of AA it gets 24 volts., just wasn't thinking and I now got to find 2 of the 4 packs which I tried on Tuesday night and made a mistake 2 as the ones I found look like what I needed, but after ordering them the hold 6 AA which make them 9 volt pack, so I got to look again, I was thinking the maybe be used for rechargeable packs, but thing it will be too high voltage. By using these with the 2 packs with6 in each pack would be 9 volts per pack with 2 pac would be 18 volts. Now if I used the pack with 6 rechargeable that would be 7.2 volts per pack and the 2 packs would be 14.4 total which I am not sure if that maybe too much battery power for the Sovereign. Might just try it if I cant find the right pack for Sovereign.
Anyway I hope I can get the right packs, but know Amazon dont have them, but will have to check else ware. I know when I had my Garrett GTA 1000 and know I had these in another detector too.
